I am a you tube fan but mainly for the music videos, some are just so clever. I tend to ignore a lot of what is on you tube as people will put anything out there

I listened to a few of these, it's good there are some educational ones out there. I liked itunes and since I will be getting a ipod soon I hope to be an expert in this site in the new year.

I did like this one there is so much information, there is a lot that can be accessed and being able to create the search engine for what you want is really useful.

I wasn't sure what to add and since this is a factual site done by people who have a real interest in local history I didn't want to put the wrong incorrect information in. This is a really good tool for those interested in local history

week 17

I haven't decided if I like this or not, I was having trouble logining in with the yahoo account I set up, while I finally got around to it I did join in a few of the threads. I'll go back again another day and play around a bit more

16 Stay Informed

subscribing to blogs is a chance for me to grab the funny ones. I love unshelved so I got that one and had a look at the fail blog. I'll need to have a look to find somemore and try not to go overboard

Week 8, #15

I signed up and like this feature, it has a lo of interesting topics so it can be easy to go overboard in choosing what I want. This will be good for me to keep up to date with the news especially, for me this will be more about personal interests than helping me at work

Week 7 #14

Facebook Joined up, found a couple of friends and added them. They are very happy about this as they have been telling me to join facebook for some time.

My Space While I wouldn't join and use this it is a great resource for contacting old friends, seeing what's happening. also being able to post activities at the library is a great feature to advertise to those who aren't regular visitors

Flicker

I didn't really want to join flicker as I am a member of Picassa which I definately prefer. What I really dislike about library 2.0 is having to create accounts for all of these programs. If they were something I would regularly use it would be beneficial

Library Thing
I made a account, it's a nice website and handy place to keep a record of books you've read and easy to you I doubt I'll use it again as i'm happy to read books I've read before.

Week 4 Virtually online
I would like to join up to second life just to try it but I don't think I'll bother. World of warcraft and exit reality while they look interesting I don't think I would spend much time on them.
It's a good way to meet people from all over the world, making friends with those you've never met. It also lets you induge your creative side, with everything you can create.

Week 3 igoogle
A lot of fun I love adding stuff to my page, I have to be careful not to get carried away. I'd like to work at google, it'd be a change from what I do and give me a chance to work with computers more.
I don't know what I could add. They seem to have everything covered

week 2 google books
This is okay but I prefer a website called fantastic fiction. I guess I'd alternate between the two.
as google books includes non fiction. So for educational purposes google books is better as you can access non fiction which makes finding particular books, such as out of print easier

week 2 activity 2 google maps. This is ok, I don't think I would use it regularly though

Week 2 activity 1. Google docs a lot of fun, will definately be using more

Library 2.0 from what I've read seems to be about keeping access open to people, allowing changes and keeping information up to date

Starting Library 2.0, as I work for the Yarra Plenty regional library, I'm hoping this will be easy to work through as I have not used blogs before. 28/10/09
